The three shows you need to be watching this week!

1) One Day- How Ireland Eats, RTÉ 1- Monday at 9.35pm

Ever wonder how much we eat every single day here in Ireland? Well even if you haven't, this is pretty interesting stuff. This one off documentary outlines our eating and drinking habits and shows how we have shifted from more traditional dishes to convenience fare. Just some of the interesting statistics from tonight's show: we drink 15 million cups of tea (no surprises there really), spend €11 billion a year on food and every day we eat 14 million meals, nine million snacks, 1.3 million packets of crisps and 1.6 million apples. It's filmed in different locations around the country including a wedding in Cavan, a potato field in Meath and promises to show how are eating habits have changed in 5,000 years.

2) Altered Carbon, Netflix from Friday

What would life be like if we never actually died? That's what Netflix's new sci series 'Altered Carbon' is exploring. Set 300 years in the future, a new technology means that you can digitize your consciousness and transfer it to different bodies, meaning you never actually die. However the technology isn't available to everyone, just those who can afford it, which causes tensions in this new society. It's like a mash up of Blade Runner and Passengers. We're in.

3) Red Rock, TV3 - Monday at 9pm

Back for it's third series, fans of Red Rock are very excited about it's return to TV3 tonight. It's been on a break since May, when viewers were left shocked by the sudden departure of Sharon. In tonight's episode we see her colleagues at the Garda station dealing with her departure and we get the autopsy results for Donna Burke.
