Ricky Gervais slams rumours of an awkward encounter with Caitlyn Jenner at the National Television Awards.
It's after her I'm A Celeb camp mate Roman Kemp alleged the pair had a very tense run-in.
Ricky says, 'This is absolutely false.'
The comedian made a number of jokes about Caitlyn on his Humanity Tour.
And according to Roman, the reality star expressed her dislike for him while they were in the jungle together.
Roman speaks about the awkward NTAs encounter on his Capital Breakfast radio show.
He explains, "And it happened… the most awkward encounter ever."
"Ricky Gervais reaches out his hand and says, "Caitlyn, so lovely to meet you.""
"Caitlyn literally looks out the corner of her eyes and goes, "yeah.""
Ricky slams these reports
Taking to Twitter, Ricky brands these reports, 'absolutely false.'
He retweets an article written by Mirror Celeb and writes how lovely and gracious Caitlyn was.
Ricky goes on, "She said she loved my Golden Globes monologue & I said I loved her stint in I’m a Celebrity."
"And that was it. No snubbing. No awkwardness."
Ricky concludes, "No rudeness," before tagging Caitlyn in the response.
