Paul Rudd is PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive 2021

Paul Rudd, aka the man who doesn't age, has been named PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive 2021.

He follows in the footsteps of Michael B. Jordan who was awarded the honour last year.

Stephen Colbert revealed the Ant-Man actor's new title on Tuesday night's The Late Show.

"Right now, there is one major question on absolutely everyone's minds: Who will be PEOPLE Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive for 2021?"

Colbert continued, "In these divided times, it's the last thing that all Americans care about."

He named Chris Evans, and Dwayne Johnson among the many people speculated for the title.

"Well, all the speculation ends tonight, ladies and gentlemen," he began his announcement.

"It is my distinct honor to have been chosen by the good people at PEOPLE to be the official person to announce this year's Sexiest Man Alive."

Colbert added, "and it is not a responsibility that I take lightly."

And so, the late night talk show host introduced a pre-recorded clip with Paul Rudd, where he had him undergo a series of assessments.

This was, of course, to ensure he was the right man for the title.

'[My wife] was stupefied'

In his cover story, Paul told the magazine that he does, 'have an awareness, enough to know,' people will be shocked by his new title.

He revealed the first person he told was his wife of 18 years, Julie Yaeger.

'She was stupefied. But you know she was very sweet about it.'

'After some giggling and shock, she said, 'Oh, they got it right.' And that was very sweet.'

'She was probably not telling the truth, but what's she going to say?' Paul joked.

The Friends star added that his friends are going to give him, 'so much grief,' over his new title.

'As they should. I would,' he admitted.

'I mean I'm going to lean into it hard. I'm going to own this. I'm not going to try to be like, 'Oh, I'm so modest.''

Paul confessed, 'I'm getting business cards made. But all of my friends will destroy me and I expect them to.'

'And that's why they're my friends,' he added.
