Montana Brown appeared on This Morning

Love Island star Montana Brown opens up on Mike Thalassitis' death on This Morning.

Thalassitis passed away over the weekend near his home in Essex.

Brown admits her friend was going through a "really rough time" before his death.

She tells Phillip and Holly that she gave him a spiritual book called The Magic to help him.

"I was kind of at my wits end and I thought, 'Something really terrible is going to happen if I don't do something.''

"I kind of felt like he was coming out of it which is why it's come as such a shock..."

Mike apparently saw a therapist

She admits she checked up on him everyday, "when he was going through a really rough time."

"He opened up and he said I've been to see a therapist..."

"The therapist just wanted to talk about his feelings, he just wanted someone to tell him how do I get out of this dark place, how do I make myself feel better..."

She explains what had put him in that dark place.

"He didn't really know what to do for work and he wanted to be his own boss and he didn't know how to do that..."

"I know he had a massive tax bill to be paid and I think the stress really got to him..."

Montana regrets not responding to his last text

It seems Montana's biggest regret was not responding to his text message a couple days earlier.

"I'm actually kicking myself. He text me, and I didn't actually reply just because I'm really bad on my phone."

"I think you just overthink everything, like what you do. I just wish I had replied."

"He just said, 'How's it going, how are you?' And I didn't reply."

Montana reflects on Mike's mood over the last couple weeks.

She admits now that she, "could have seen his death coming."

Mike appeared on the 2017 series of Love Island. 

Prior to his TV career he was a semi-professional footballer for Stevenage.

Mike's death comes just days after the passing of his grandmother.

He had recently moved in with her to act as her full-time carer.
