Megan Thee Stallion is, 'grateful to be alive'
Rapper Megan Thee Stallion has released a statement saying she's, 'grateful to be alive.'
The artist revealed she suffered from gunshot wounds following an incident on Sunday morning.
According to TMZ, police were called to a disturbance outside a Hollywood Hills party.

Megan opened her statement by saying the reports surrounding the incident are, 'inaccurate.'
She explained, 'On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me.'

The 25-year-old insisted she was never arrested.
She said, 'the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets.'
'I'm incredibly grateful to be alive and that I'm expected to make a full recovery, but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night.'

Megan wrote, 'I'm currently focused on my recovery, so I can return back to my life and back to making music as soon as possible.'
According to Sky News, fellow rapper Tory Lanez was with Megan when the police arrived.
He was arrested on a weapons charge, while she was taken to hospital.
It's believed Tory was released after posting bail later that day.
Megan's statement followed a TMZ article about the incident.
Perhaps this was what she was referring to when she said there had been, 'inaccurate,' reports on the matter.
TMZ's law enforcement sources told them that she was taken to hospital after she cut her foot on glass.
In their latest update, they say the LAPD told them that Megan never told them she was the victim of a crime.
A spokesperson said, 'At the time Megan Thee [Stallion] was with police she did not report that she was the victim of any crime.'
'And the LAPD has not received any additional information at this time.'

It's believed Tory has not been connected to the shots that were fired.
