Kylie Jenner shared the link to a gofundme page set up for an old friend of hers who was recently involved in a car crash.
She faced serious backlash online from those who felt the billionaire should cover the cost of his medical expenses herself.
Kylie has since released a statement, addressing the controversy.

At the time of writing, they've raised $100,031 of a $120,000 goal to cover the medical expenses of Samuel Rauda.
When social media users heard Kylie had only donated $5,000, they were shocked.
Many felt she shouldn't be turning to her fans for help when she's literally a billionaire.

Kylie's statement
Kylie has since taken to Instagram to explain her side of the story.
She began by slamming reports suggesting Samuel is her makeup artist.
The reality star wrote, 'Sam isn’t my makeup artist and unfortunately we don’t have a personal relationship anymore but I have worked with him a few years ago and think he’s the sweetest.'

Kylie said her current makeup artist, Ariel, shared a post about Samuel's accident.
She said, 'I called Ariel immediately to see what happened to Sam.'
'After learning in more detail about the accident it compelled me to visit his gofundme which was set at 10k.'

'They had already raised 6k so I put it in 5k to reach their original goal and thought I’d post on my stories to gain more awareness if anyone also felt compelled to share or donate.'
'I don’t know how all of this got so twisted but his family has reached out through Ariel and are very appreciative of all the donations, prayers, and love towards Sam,' she continued.
