Katy Perry has been accused of animal cruelty following her recent ad campaign in Australia.
To promote her tour next year, she has teamed up with Australian retail store giant Myer for a series of online promotions
However one of them ends with Katy encouraging her teacup poodle Nugget to "chase some koalas".

According to Digital Spy, a leading vet has criticised the campaign as around 110 koalas are attacked and killed by dogs each year in Queensland alone.
Claire Madden said "Perry is a role model to so many young people, and this just destroys all the good work we do to try and encourage people not to let their dogs come into contact with koalas."

Myer have since replied to one tweet saying they are removing the reference to koalas.
