He confirmed the news on Twitter today, 'YEEZY AND GAP FORM PARTNERSHIP #WESTDAYEVER'

The rapper also shared a post that gives us a bit of an insight into what we can expect from the line.

He shared a picture of someone leaning over a bag.

The person in the picture is wearing a hoodie, cargo trousers and a jacket.

The deal itself

According to The New York Times' source, Kanye has signed a 10 year deal with the company, starting this month.

They'll be given the option to renew after five years.

At which point Gap are reportedly hoping Yeezy Gap will be generating $1 billion in yearly sales.

Yeezy Gap is expected to drop in the first half of 2021.

The artist's fashion company are planning to create, 'modern, elevated basics for men, women and kids at accessible price points.'

It's believed Kanye will also have a say in how the collection is displayed in stores and online.

Gap holds a special place in Kanye's heart

It's true, Gap has always held a special place in the rap sensations heart.

He worked in customer service for the clothing giant when he was just a teenager in Chicago.

During a chat with Style in 2015, Kanye admitted, 'I’d like to be the Steve Jobs of Gap.'

Speaking to 99.6 NOW! in 2013, he said he had already approached Gap about a potential collaboration.

"I went to the GAP and I said, 'Lemme try to do something,' and I couldn’t get past the politics," he explained.

"And I’m like, 'I’m telling you, I got it. I know it. I can do it. Gimme a shot.'"

Kanye went on, "Our first night [on the Yeezus Tour] we sold $83,000 in tour merch."

"Imagine if you take these thoughts and connect it with a corporation like the GAP."

Roll on 2021 for this new collaboration!
