Jonah Hill Won't Star In The Batman After Failing To Agree A Deal With Warner Bros.

Jonah Hill won't star in The Batman

According to reports, Superbad actor Jonah Hill won't star in the upcoming Batman movie.

We learned earlier this year that he had been in talks to play either the Penguin or the Riddler in the film.

However, it's believed he failed to agree on a deal with Warner Bros. and has passed on the project.

Variety reports the actor had been offered a role in Matt Reeves' upcoming movie.

However, insiders tell the outlet that when the news emerged, 'it was very early in the negotiations.'

They say that at that time, 'a deal was far from closing.'

Jonah recently worked with Matthew McConaughey on the Beach Bum movie.

He also stars in the Netflix series Maniac alongside Emma Stone.

The actor also made his directorial debut in Mid90s last year.

The Batman

It was announced in May this year that Robert Pattinson had been cast to play the lead role in the movie.

He was up against Nicholas Hoult for the role with Warner Bros eventually signing up the Twilight star.

The deal involves three movies with Matt Reeves coming on as director.

He previously worked on Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and Cloverfield.
