James Arthur has taken to twitter revealing that he had suffered an anxiety attack live on stage and ''thought [he] was gunna die.''
I had an anxiety attack on stage in front of 12,000 people tonight and no one would’ve known but I thought I was gunna die on stage which is maybe the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced in my life but it really made me appreciate my blessings, thanks everyone for everything x

The singer has previously spoken about his mental health issues.
In an interview with Fault, the singer said, ''For the past 3 years, I’ve felt like I’ve been on a bit of a prison sentence. Suffering from all kinds of mental health issues, wondering whether or not I’d come back and make any kind of a splash.''
Arthur has some very supportive fans on twitter.
Fair play to you, I’ve had anxiety attacks and struggled to move so how you managed to carry on with the show and keep 12,000 people unaware I have no idea. Keep talking about it too, it’s people like you who will change the world. Lots of love x

James, thank you for pushing through. Thank you for sharing something that people go through and are afraid to talk about. So many people gain inspiration from you to keep on going. Your bravery and openness are beautiful. #YouAreNotAlone
