Love Island voice over Iain Stirling opens up about the upcoming winter series of the show.

He talks about his girlfriend Laura Whitmore joining the team and the prospect of a future same sex coupling.

The UK version of the dating series has yet to introduce any same sex relationships.

And now that Dancing on Ice have done just that, all are eyes are on Love Island to follow suit.

When asked on Loose Women why it hasn't been done yet, Iain simply responds, "Who knows!"

He explains further, "I think at the minute, the only issue really is, is a case of mathematics."

"Because you need people to be coupled up for one person to be out for them to leave."

"So you need a ratio in some way but I'm sure there's a way of working around that."

Laura Whitmore joins the team

Iain's girlfriend Laura Whitmore has been announced as host of the winter series.

It's after Caroline Flack made the decision to step down following her recent arrest.

Iain gushes over his other half, "She's great isn't she? I think she's great."

The voice over artists explains he'll be situated in South Africa for the duration of the show.

While his partner Laura will be flying back and forth from the UK.

"They take me to a hot country and then put me in a box!"

Laura insists Caroline Flack has been, 'incredibly supportive,' of her new role as host of the series.
