Sarina asked her what it's like performing live on stage, and she said there's nothing quite like it.

She also revealed plans to start performing her own music.

For so long, Monét had been lip syncing to other artists' songs, and this is something she wants to change.

She said, "It was literally as I started making that switch," that the world went into lockdown.

"I was like, 'Is the world sending me a sign or...?'" She joked.

"But no, so I definitely am happy to get back out there and perform my music live."

Sarina also asked Monét about her new album.

The Drag Race star said creating this project is something she's wanted to do for a long time.

And she recently discovered that it's not until you sit down and do it that you realise how hard it is.

Monét said she grew up listening to a lot of Reggae, but she recognises, "it has a lot of homophobic undertones in it."

So she wanted to reclaim Reggae, "and make it super gay... and have that whole fantasy and really go in on it."

She said the album is the perfect mixture of, "R'n'B, Reggae and it's just so, so gay."

Pride Month

Sarina mentioned how the album is being released during Pride Month, which is so exciting.

She asked, "What does Pride mean to you?"

"At a base level for me, Pride is just liberation," Monét X Change began her response.

She recalled showing up to her very first Pride event in full drag and feeling liberated.

The artist was inspired after seeing everyone, "under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella just being free and not being afraid or ashamed of doing what they do, where they wanna do it."

"To be in full drag while experiencing it for the first time definitely changed my life."

But Monét X Change believes we still have a long way to go.

"Until we're all liberated, then none of us are truly liberated."

She pointed out how so many people in other parts of the world are still being, "persecuted just for being queer."
