Conor McGregor may have been as scarlet for his dad as the rest of us were.

Breaking his silence on the viral video, he's sad his father Tony McGregor, was 'off his head'.

If you happened to be away at the time or living under a rock then here's the video:

A lot of things stick out:

"Non too plussed" as a saying.

"Crisp €20 note.." - we all know that feeling of a brand new bank note.

"coinage" - someone give that man a Leap Card!

"..slim-fitted Hugo Boss suit." - humble brag.

Las Vegas has always been a second home for me and my family. I love this city from the bottom of my heart. Some of my most lasting memories have occurred in this great city. One year ago today the beautiful city of Las Vegas was subject to a terrible act of mindless violence.  58 people were lost that day and hundreds more had their lives forever changed. Las Vegas’ strength and resilience may have been shook but it was not nor will it ever be broken. The city rallied around those affected and stands today one year later stronger and prouder than ever before. We must remember, we must spread love, and we must never forget those we lost on that fateful day. I look forward to honouring you all this Saturday night. #VegasStronger

The country laughed at the video, with a lot of people sharing their collective embarrassment on behalf of Tony McGregor.

It appears Conor was also a bit mortified but managed to see the funny side.

He told The Ariel Helwani MMA Show on ESPN, "I'm thinking 'where's me ma to get that man's phone out of his bleeding hand?'

"For f**ks sake, somebody get that thing's phone off him! Me dad's off this head, that's the way it is."

McGregor spoke to the esteemed MMA journalist ahead of his fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov in Las Vegas this weekend, listen to the full interview above.

The bit about his father starts at 28:50.
