The boys recently released their single Defeated, which went to number one on TikTok's dance charts.

It also went to number four on TikTok's new music charts before it was even released.

She asked the boys how that's possible and they laughed, "I dunno! The powers were at be."

The writing process

They admitted there's always a bit of anxiety that comes with releasing a new song.

So seeing it at number four before it had even been released really settled their nerves.

The track was written at the beginning of 2020 when the boys were incredibly busy.

Teddy C said that at the time, they had just finished a writing period where they had written music every day for four months.

"We had wrote some good songs but we hadn't wrote anything that we really loved."

"Defeated was the very last song on that so we were absolutely shattered... it was like the last throw of the dice."

Life in lockdown

The lads have been in isolation together, and they've been getting on really well.

Teddy C said, "It's nice that we're able to still just do a few little bits like this [interview] even..."

"And even like we get in contact with our producers that we work with in London regularly..."

Sarina went on to ask the boys about their relationship with video sharing app TikTok.

Bee Fade admitted, "As a consumer, I'm addicted to it."

Teddy C said, "It's crazy... it's a crazy, crazy app..."

TikTok

The lads said they tried to focus their TikTok account on their music but they lost interest in that.

Now they prefer sharing funny content and just having fun with the app.

"Maybe the music was just a bit too serious for it... people want a bit of humour and some nice viewing," said Bee Fade.

Sarina asked the boys how they think they'll feel when they step back on stage for the first time after the pandemic.

The lads, clearly excited, said their favourite part of gigging is the opening few moments of the show.

And they can't wait to get back to it!

We can't wait to see the lads live again!
