Johnny Depp joins TikTok

Earlier this week, Johnny Depp joined TikTok, and so far, he's gained a following of 8.3 million people.

His first post is a montage of moments from his time performing with Jeff Beck, and his encounters with fans along the way.

It comes shortly after he won his multi-million-dollar defamation lawsuit against his ex wife Amber Heard.

The Captain Jack Sparrow actor continued, 'We did the right thing together, all because you cared.'

'And now, we will all move forward together.'

'You are, as always, my employers and once again I am whittled down to no way to say thank you, other than just by saying thank you. So, thank you. My love & respect, JD'

@johnnydeppTo all of my most treasured, loyal and unwavering supporters. We’ve been everywhere together, we have seen everything together. We have walked the same road together. We did the right thing together, all because you cared. And now, we will all move forward together. You are, as always, my employers and once again I am whittled down to no way to say thank you, other than just by saying thank you. So, thank you. My love & respect, JD

In a statement, a spokesperson for Heard told People Magazine:

'As Johnny Depp says he's 'moving forward,' women's rights are moving backward.'

'The verdict's message to victims of domestic violence is ... be afraid to stand up and speak out.'

It's been nearly a week since a jury found that a column Heard wrote for The Washington Post about domestic violence was defamatory.

Depp was awarded over $10 million in damages, even though the article did not name him.
