90210's Shenae Grimes & AnnaLynne McCord

Shenae Grimes-Beech and AnnaLynne McCord played Annie and Naomi in the hit series 90210 for five years.

Throughout their time filming together, they barely spoke.

As AnnaLynne put it, "...I wanted to rip her face off when I was a 20-year-old!"

It wasn't until the show ended that they got to know each other properly, and now, they're best friends.

They're so close in fact, that they're starting their own podcast.

Unzipped will see the girls chat about, 'taboo societal topics,' and more.

Unzipped

On the very first episode, out tomorrow, Shenae and AnnaLynne will chat about their five-year-long feud.

In the podcast trailer, Shenae says, "After years spent playing best friends on screen on 90210."

"And fighting like hell behind the scenes," AnnaLynne chimed in.

Shenae replied, "Ahh yes. How could I forget?"

AnnaLynne laughed, and then continued, "We made it out of our time in young Hollywood on a show that shared names with the most iconic zip code in the world, bonded for life but not without a sh*t ton of baggage in tow."

"Now we are back together letting it all hang out on our new podcast Unzipped," Shenae revealed.

A feud turned friendship

Ahead of the podcast's debut, E! News caught up with the girls for a chat.

Speaking about their feud, Shenae said, 'To be honest, AnnaLynne and I hadn't ever addressed the fact that we didn't speak for almost the entirety of our time on the show.'

'There were a lot of behind-the-scenes issues and it was a very toxic environment.'

She added that they were also very young, in Hollywood, navigating life in the limelight.

Shenae believes the media attention played a big part in their feud, 'in a nuanced way.'

'I think the picture that the media painted of all of us and of each of us as individuals obviously was through a very harsh lens, and while we knew for ourselves that a lot of the stories that were written about us weren't true or were really highly fabricated, it's hard not to get influenced on your perception of people when you're being fed that narrative the whole time.'

The media coverage

She elaborated, 'I think it was just that the things that were happening were maybe amplified by the things that were kind of popping up in the media and press coverage on like, seemingly a daily basis.'

It wasn't until the show was ending, that AnnaLynne and Shenae patched things up.

AnnaLynne said, 'I mean, people died on our set. We went through all kinds of stuff.'

'And to come out on the other side having been little rivals, and at the very 11th hour - which it was because it was the night before the last day - we had this whole, like, 'Oh my god I can't believe it's over!' And we go through this whole moment."

She went on to say that they've formed, 'a very beautiful bond,' and she's, 'very grateful,' to call Shenae her friend.

'We've had crazy life moments that have happened and Nae has shown up for me in an incredible way and I'm so grateful to her, and I hope to be half the friend that [she's] been to me.'

'I fu**ing love her now even though I wanted to rip her face off when I was a 20-year-old!'

The first episode of Unzipped lands tomorrow.
