What is Dublin Pride?

Dublin Pride is an annual celebration of diversity in Ireland, and brings a carnival atmosphere to the city each June. Last year, over 30,000 people came out for the festival and this year expects to be even bigger.

What is the theme for Dublin Pride?

This year’s theme is “We Are Family”. Irish families are more diverse than ever. So, grab your ma, brother, sister, dog, and anyone else you can find and get involved!

The Parade

The parade will assemble at St. Stephen’s Green South from 12pm on Saturday June 30th. Following speeches, the parade will depart at 2pm and head for the Pride Party in Smithfield Square where there will be entertainment with music, drag acts and speeches.

SPIN 1038 will be broadcasting live from Oscar’s Cafe Bar in the heart of Smithfield from 3pm

Is The Pride Parade a family event?

Absolutely. Pride welcomes everyone and has become a festival of creativity and diversity bringing people of all ages together in the city.

Is it just a parade or are there more events?

There is so much happening...

The Dublin Pride Parade takes centre stage on June 30th, but there are many events taking place across the city from June 21st until July 1st, with everything from summer concerts, a 5k run, karaoke, drag shows and even a pole dancing night.

What to wear?

Find the most colourful outfit in your wardrobe and wear it proud. The brighter the better, and remember, you can never have enough glitter for Pride!

The Dublin Pride shop on Clarendon Street is packed with t-shirts, badges and flags to get you ready!

Will there be traffic disruption?

Yes, while the parade is happening there will be rolling road closures across the route.

If you’re coming into the parade it’s best to use public transport. The events are easily accessible by both LUAS lines and most City Centre bus routes. SPIN 1038 will have traffic updates across the day on our news bulletins.
