It looks like our summer is set to be a decent one so put on those walking shoes and get your fix of fresh air.

Our city is full of enjoyable walking routes. Here are some of the best in Dublin:

The Hellfire Club

Nestled in the Dublin Mountains, the Hellfire Club is one of the city's most unique ruins. It's extraordinary history is reason alone to trek the 383 metres up Montpellier Hill. That and the countless Insta-opportunities.

Tibradden Mountain Trail

This 5k stroll around the green forest of the Dublin mountains is suitable for every age and fitness level. Zig-zag through the tall trees and ancient cairns and if you're feeling up for it, have a go on the high ropes at ZipIt.

Warning: there's no guarantee you'll see these cute doggos there but it's worth a shot!

Howth Cliff Walk

A challenging trail, but it's worth it for the panoramic views of Dublin Bay alone. See if you can spot Lambay Island and Ireland's Eye before returning to Howth village to tuck into the freshest, tastiest seafood for lunch.

Phoenix Park

If you need a stroll but don't have time to head to the Dublin Mountains or the coast, then the Phoenix Park in the heart of the city is your best bet. Vast, open, green space, the deer and landmarks like Áras an Uachtaráin and Farmleigh House, an evening in Dublin's biggest park is one well spent.

The Great South Wall

Another great walking option if you don't have time to stray too far out of the city centre. Park the car in Ringsend and head off on that long promenade towards Poolbeg Lighthouse.

Going to Dublin and sun... Going to London more sun... Go back to derby.. Rain!
