Ruby Rose

When she's not busy being an international model, actress and TV presenter, Ruby Rose is working as an ambassador for Headspace - a youth mental health initiative that runs in her native Australia. She recently won 'Celebrity of the Year' at the LGBTI Awards in Australia for her work in championing LGBT rights.

What's more, her Urban Decay lipstick line is insanely fab.

Louise O'Neill

Firstly, this is what she's at today...

She's the author of Asking For It - the award winning novel that looks at the issue of sexual consent. If you haven't read it, read it - it was named Irish Times Book of the Month in September 2015 and awarded Book of the Year at the Irish Book Awards 2015. Follow her on Twitter too - she's @oneilllo

Fearne Cotton

Her ever endearing presenting skills aside, Fearne Cotton is one we love to follow on social media. She has ALWAYS killed it in the style stakes and continues to show off her cutest looks on Instagram.

Picked this embroidered jacket up at my pop up shop last Friday. £25 bargain of dreams!

She's a dab hand in the kitchen, regularly whipping up delicious looking energy balls and cupcakes. What's more, she's put her baking skills to great use by teaming up with @coppafeelpeople - an organisation that "ensure you check your boobs, regularly, throughout your lifetime." How cool is this?!

Her new book Happy: Finding joy in every day and letting go of perfect does exactly what it says on the tin. Get it!

Ashley Graham

Anyone who gets themselves a 73 Questions video with Vogue is bound to be an icon! Watch that HERE

Ashley Graham is the first plus-sized model to ever appear on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She regularly speaks in High Schools across America about body acceptance as well as sharing empowering messages about body image on Instagram. We can't get enough of her!

Lindsay Hamilton

Yes - she's drinking cider out of a cocktail glass in that pic. Better known as @mermaidajade on Snapchat and @lindsaymermaida on Instagram, we can't get enough of Lindsay Hamilton. It's hard to put into words how cool she actually is. Her winged eyeliner KILLS on a daily basis, her tattoos are to die for but most importantly, her attitude is the best. She's just set up a podcast with her friend @pvssykat that focuses on #FineAssFeminism - you need to check it out HERE

Here's the Instagram they set up for it, too. The captions get us every time.

Jennifer Aniston

We've wanted to be her since the 90s. Literally. But now more than ever, we respect and love Jennifer Aniston. The open letter she wrote for the Huffington Post last Summer was a gamechanger that we'll never forget! After being continually harassed by the media about whether or not she was pregnant, she put pen to paper to have her say. SHE said "For the record, I am not pregnant. What I am is fed up. I’m fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body shaming that occurs daily under the guise of “journalism,” the “First Amendment” and “celebrity news.”" You can read her letter in full HERE

Also, she went through one of the most public divorces in the history of pop culture. She came out the other, dignity in tact and married to the hunk that is Justin Theroux. Look at him. letting her do her thing!

Emma Watson

She plays Belle in Disney's live action remake of Beauty and the Beast. If that doesn't make her a hero, we don't know what does.

In all seriousness, she continues to advocate for women's right and is a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador. Her speech at the HeForShe campaign in 2014 stands out in our minds in a big way.

She was recently criticised for posing (almost) topless for Vanity Fair and had the BEST reaction. She said "I really don't know what my tits have to do with it". Sing it, sister.

Ruth Negga

She stole our heart as Rosie in Love/Hate. Fast forward 6 years and she's nominated for a Golden Globe, A Critic's Choice Award and an Oscar for her portrayal of Mildred Loving in the movie Loving. Success goals.

She's aloof, refined and mysterious in the coolest way possible. Recently, she taught Vogue how to pull a pint of Guinness and showed Vanity Fair how to make an Irish while sporting a full length gown. Yep - we need to BE her.

 Adele

Her infectious laugh alone has us completely in love with her.

She showed herself as being the ultimate girls girl at the Grammys this year by basically dedicating her whole Album of the Year speech to Beyonce. If you missed that, watch it now and prepare to tear up.

Year after year of global success, she keeps it REAL. That's why we love her.

JK Rowling

She takes NO sh*t. Her ongoing Twitter feud with Piers Morgan has us buckled over on a daily basis. Take the time to look at this...it's worth it.

Twitter spats aside, this woman shaped our childhood imaginations and has no signs of stopping. She recently tweeted about work on a Fantastic Beast And Where To Find Them sequel. Eeeeeek!

Oh, and she's worth and estimated $1 billion.
