Samaritans To Offer Free Emotional Support This Pride Weekend

30,000 people are expected to attend this weekend's Pride Parade.

Samaritans volunteers will be on hand to provide face-to-face emotional support for attendees around the city. 

"We are providing a unique opportunity this weekend in Dublin for anyone in need of emotional support to talk to our trained volunteers. We encourage anyone who may be feeling even a little down to come and talk to us." - Theresa Potter, Samaritans.

If you're having a hard time or know someone who is volunteers will be available in the following locations:

Capel Street 

9pm Friday 29th June - 2pm Saturday 30th June

Parliament Street

9pm Friday 29th June - 2pm Saturday 30th June

The street service will compliment the charity's round the clock telephone helpline service.
