1) Spike Cello Festival 2017, Feb 10th - 12th all over Dublin
The Spike Cello Festival (this is the first one!) is gonna be a three-day programme of cello-related events happening 10th to 12th February, in various venues across Dublin. The festival celebrates the diverse use of the cello across non-classical music styles and genres from Jazz, Traditional, Folk, Pop and Rock, to cello yoga and the “cello-clowning” of US cello performance artist, Rushad Eggleston. 2) The Typographic Dante, Feb 10th - April @ The National Print Museum
Sounds heavy, but also sounds v interesting for anyone interested in print or poster design! "The Divine Comedy is a poem by Dante Alighieri. Written between 1308 and 1320, it describes Dante’s journey through Hell, Purgatory and Paradise, and, at a deeper level, represents the souls journey towards God. The Typographic Dante is a series of typographic illustrations created as a response to this unfolding narrative."
