"We Love Movies" – A Show About Movies
It’s no secret - Gordon really does love movies.
Having studied film in college, he attended the cinema obsessively and has a poorly structured, poorly typed, coffee splashed film script stuck under his bed*.
Anyway, realising it would probably be a while before his idea is taken up by Disney, the he decided to channel his passion into something a lot more instantly gratifying, which was to Produce and Present a weekly programme about movies on Spin 1038.
Gordon is prepared to admit that yes, it was partly a ruse to wangle one-to-one meetings with his idols and get to see movies for free, but it was also the chance to do something that nobody else seemed to be doing – giving the wonderful world of film the attention it deserves. So was born We Love Movies - a one-hour show devoted to the joys of cinema!
Already so far, guests on We Love Movies have included: Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Will Ferrell, Jessica Simpson, Antonio Banderas, Sean William Scott, Paris Hilton, Ricky Gervais, Jennifer Anniston, Steve Carrell, Daniel Craig, Elijah Wood, George A Romero, Guy Ritchie, Kirsten Dunst and Sarah Michelle Gellar, as well as many others. Pretty cool, huh?
We really do love Movies.
We Love Movies – with Gordon Hayden - Sundays @ 7.45pm on Spin 1038
* (For those who are interested, Gordon’s script is an erotic murder mystery set in the roaring twenties, sort of Russ Meyer meets Agatha Christie)
