The Spin with Clare McKenna and Jonathan McCrea

Show Info:

A brand new daily talk show covering everything from news and current affairs to topical features that get people talking. Flipping from hot politics to who's sleeping with who in Hollywood, from what's in the papers to what's hot in the charts, The SPIN has it covered in it’s own unique style.

Listeners texts and calls are a huge part of the show - if there is anything you would like to say or The SPIN to cover in the future;

About Clare:

Clare holds a NCEA Diploma Theatre Studies. a B.A. in Marketing, a Certificate in Television Production & Presentation & a Post Grad Journalism & Media Communications. She began her broadcast career as a newsreader. Finding this wasn't for her she began working in talk radio with SPIN 1038 on Sunday breakfast show McKenna McCrea. She also co-presented music show “Untitled with David O’Doherty” which ran weekly on SPIN 1038 and many other radio stations around the country.
Clare is also a voice over artist, acting as continuity announcer for TV3 & a variety of radio & television ads. She also presented the Liffey Laugh for RTE TV in Feb 2006.

About Jonathan:

Not a subtle or patient man, Jonathan essentially stalked the boss of SPIN ( via email, fax, telephone, carrier pigeon etc) until he was given the chance to present quirky Sunday magazine show The Rear End in 2004 with Clare McKenna.  Forming a warm yet continually suspicious alliance, McKenna and McCrea were soon upgraded to a slot on Sunday mornings.  Jonathan also produces and presents We Love Movies on Sunday nights, and is a regular contributor to The Sunday Business Post.  He also presents On the Box on City Channel, interviewing bands on a Thursday and reviewing games of a Tuesday.  It is rumoured he never sleeps.

 Cool huh??

Life's a beach!

Only two weeks til the Urban Beach hits George's Dock in the IFSC.  It's essentially an entire beach brought to the inner city!  How cool!  For more info, click here.

Now let's all pick a sun god to pray to.  We're going with Surya Deva.  Hinduism is so hot right now.  No pun intended.
