Perfect hair, flawless skin and amazingly toned bodies...the Victoria's Secret models make it look so easy. This year the annual fashion show was on point, with all our favourite models like Gigi, Kendall and Bella taking part.
Anthony Turner was the lead hair stylist at the show late last night year and speaking backstage he said he was going for the typical 'Victoria Secret look'. They wanted to keep it sexy, while also looking a little 'undone' . To get the look they used a rotating curling iron, but we're going to recreate that look today using the Remington Curl Revolution.
The Curl Revolution works with all hair lengths, using a specially designed rotating barrel to curl and set styles in no time. You can choose from five temperature settings using the digital controls. Section out your hair and make sure it's really smooth before you get started.
Why Will I Like This?
I have trouble creating GHD curls. They're really tricky to get right! One bad move and you end up with a nasty kink that you can never seem to hide. The Curl Revolution does all the hard work for you. The rotating barrel creates perfect curls and the entire process is stress free. It does take time, so you'll need to allocate a good half an hour if you're creating a 'going out look'. But if you're using the Curl Revolution during the week, you could move from section to section creating waves pretty fast.
This is what my hair looked like when it was all curled. When you release your hair from the barrel, don't brush it through, just spray it with some hairspray and leave it to set for up to 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, I did some backcombing on top and ran a brush through it and sprayed again to create looser waves.
What Kind Of Hair Will It Suit?
All types. The five temperature setting is a genius idea. If you have thin, frail hair you can set it to a low temperate so it doesn't singe and if you have thick hair you can crank the heat right up so the wave won't fall out.
Plus, the barrel rotates in either direction so you can create uniform curls for a polished look, or switch it up for a more natural wavy look.
Think less big bouncy blow dry and more boho blow-dry. You may have noticed the boho blow-dry is getting more and more popular in Ireland. Style Club are big fans of it and their hairdressers are specially trained to do them. If you don't have the time to get into the salon and hate straight hair (like me), this is the gadget for you!
After some backcombing, volume style powder and a good blast of hair spray you can get those big loose waves you're looking for..
