Tommy Bowe To Retire At The End Of The Season

Ulster and Ireland winger Tommy Bowe has announced he will retire at the end of the current season.

The 33-year-old is Ireland's second highest ever try-scorer, going over the line 30 times in 69 appearences in a green jersey.

More recently, he's battled a number of injury problems and is currently facing an 8 week spell on the sidelines after getting a shoulder injury in Ulster's clash with Leinster at the RDS.

He revealed that he would not be playing beyond this season in a post to Instagram last night:

Despite numerous memories of the Monaghan native, there's no doubt he'll be most famous on these shores for this moment against Wales in 2009 while on the way to the Grand Slam:
