While many of us are looking forward to spending Christmas with our families, some people are unfortunate to be in the position where they've nowhere to go for the festive season.

For the second year in a row, the Simon Community has teamed up with Nando's on Mary's Street to welcome the homeless for a hot dinner on Christmas Day.

Over the past 12 months, the Simon Community has been under serious pressure to deliver its services, as the number of people sleeping rough on the streets of Dublin has seen a huge jump. According to Homeless Dublin, there are currently over 140 people living on the streets of the capital, with 85% of them males.

This coupled with the growing number of people seeking emergency accommodation has lead to Nando's opening their doors on the 25th of December once again. People will receive a free dinner between 11AM and 1:30PM.
