Islamic State has claimed one of it's fighters was responsible for an attack on police officers in Paris last night.

One police officer was killed when a gunman opened fire on the busy tourist area at the Champs-Elysees.

Two other officers were wounded in the incident.

The attacker was then shot dead, but police are believed to be looking for a second suspect.

It comes after the French Interior Ministry said they believed the officers were deliberately targeted.
