A Ballymun councillor says shootings in the north Dublin suburb are shattering the confidence of the local community.
It follows two gun attacks within an hour of each other yesterday afternoon and Gardai are investigating whether they're linked.
A man in his 30s is being treated for non life threatening injuries.
Fianna Fáil representative Paul McAuliffe says a small minority who are involved in gangland activity is having a massive effect on the community:
"Even the smallest of incidents can cause a tit for tat violence and with the easy access to guns that violence then can spill over into much more serious incidents."
