The likes of Hozier, Kodaline and Glen Hansard have performed a concert in front of hundreds of people at Apollo House in Dublin.

Last Thursday, a number of people from the Home Sweet Home drive took over the property on Tara Street, and have used it as a shelter for homeless people in the capital.

They were joined by hundreds of people who came together to show their support:

It comes as the Dublin City Council have granted permission to demolish the property.

Meanwhile in a statement, the building’s receiver said the occupation is illegal and unsafe to occupants and neighbours.

Tom O’Brien of Mazars says the building is in poor condition and doesn’t meet the requirements of homeless people.

His lawyers have now gone to the High Court seeking an injunction to have the building vacated.
