Dozens of homeless people who have been sleeping in Apollo House have been told they can stay there for Christmas.

However the High Court has ordered them to leave the office block by 11th of January.

The Judge agreed to let them spend Christmas there as long as no more than 40 people use the facility on Tara Street at any one time and they co-operate with the building's receivers.

Last Thursday, activists from the Home Sweet Home drive took over the office block, which was owned by NAMA, and have been using is as a shelter for around 35 homeless people from Dublin ever since.
