It's been reported that 2 people have been injured after a police officer accidentally opened fire at a speech by the French President.

It's understood one of the injured is a policeman, and that Francois Hollande wasn't harmed in the incident.

President Hollande was launching a new rail line in the village of Villognon.

It's not known how serious the injuries are.
