The exit polls from last night suggest that today's referendum will be a landslide victory in favour of a yes vote to repeal the 8th amendment, however we won't have an official result until later this afternoon.
The RTÉ exit poll, which was announced on the Late Late Show last night projected a Yes vote of 69.4% with a No vote of 30.6%.
The sample size was 3,800.
Among the 18-24 age group, the Yes vote is projected at 87.6%, while for 25-34 year olds it is 84.6%.
