A Dublin Fire Brigade member has been forced to take time off work after being hit by a projectile from a slingshot last night.
The incident happened near Pearse Street in the city centre when the ambulance he was in was attacked.
In a tweet, the Dublin Fire Brigade sent their best wishes to their collegaue:
Overnight one of our ambulances in the city centre was hit by a slingshot & projectile resulting in an injury to a crew member. In response to that tweet, Health Minister Simon Harris branded the attacks as "despicable":
