1. 5,000 students will take to the streets of Dublin in protest today. The Union of Students in Ireland are calling for more investment in higher education.

2. Yahoo have revealed that 3 billion accounts were hacked in 2013. This figure was previously reported as 1 billion. The internet giant says personal data stolen did not include credit card and bank details. 

3. The ISPCA has welcome calls for a ban on wild animals in circuses. The proposal has been raised by the Communications Minister Denis Naughten and comes as today is World Animal Day.

4. Niall Horan is bringing his Flicker World Tour back to Ireland next year. He took to Facebook to announce the news last night but no dates have been released as of yet. 

5. And finally, Kate Winslet has joined the cast of Avatar 2. There are four sequels on the way with the first our in 2020. The other movies will follow in 2021, 2024 and 2025.
