1. The VMA nominations are out and Kendrick Lamar is leading the pack with eight nods for his latest album and single Humble. Ed Sheeran follows behind with three nominations.  

2. Tickets for the upcoming McGregor Mayweather fight sold out in minutes when they went on sale yesterday. With ticket prices staring at €430 and pre-sale Ticketmaster codes being auctioned on Ebay for up to €200 getting to the arena isn't coming cheap. Touts are now selling tickets for €25,000. 

3. Clontarf is getting a seawater swimming pool in six weeks. The €2 million refurbishment project will see the old seawater baths revamped to an open-air swimming pool, bar and restaurant. And yes, the water will be heated. 

4. Beatyard Festival are giving people a chance to 'draw with Don' during the Dun Loaghaire, Bank Holiday weekend event. Get practicing your owls everyone. 

5. And finally, a new survey has revealed that 7 out of 10 Irish people say the weather in our country affects their mood.
