1. Trump's office has responded to calls for Oprah Winfrey to run for office following her Golden Globe Cecil B Demille Award acceptance speech. They have said, "We welcome the challenge, whether it be Oprah Winfrey or anybody else".

2. Fine Gael councillor Paddy Smyth has expressed concerns about traffic around College Green saying, 'There is just not enough space for private cars, taxis, buses, cyclists and trams'. Plans to pedestrianise the area have proven controversial.
