1. Gardaí have launched an investigation following the fatal shooting of a man in North Strand last night. The man in his 20s was shot several times in an attack that's been linked with the ongoing Hutch, Kinahan feud. 

2. Leo Varadkar has backed plans for a new runway in Dublin airport. The development will cost €320 million and works will begin "within the next couple of months". 

3. An extremely rare 'Super Blue Blood Moon' will be visible in some parts of the world today. The phenomenon occurs when a super moon, a blue moon and a blood moon coincide. This will be the first sighting of the spectacle in 152 years. 

4. Instagram is refusing to comment on a rumored video call feature. A symbol for the feature has been spotted in an leaked version of the app which could arrive in the next update.

5. And finally, Microsoft Tycoon Bill Gates is reportedly spending €30 million on creating a new breed of Super Cows and Chickens which will produce healthier milk and eggs.
