1. Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy has announced that Irish Water will refund customers by Christmas. The government is set to hand back over €173 million in checks. A new excessive usage charge will kick in in 2018.

2. A ticket tout from Ennis has been jailed for 9 months. He charged Ed Sheeran fans €460 for tickets they never received.

3. Met Eireann and the UK Met Office held a meeting yesterday to name storms due next year. Some of which include Brian, Karen and Hector. To warrant a name a storm must show "potential for significant land-based impact". 

4. Electric Picnic have organised a number of days where people can collect their lost property. The pick up point will be St Vincent DePaul in Stradbally and the dates are on the Electric Picnic website

5. And finally, Megan McKenna is top of the iTunes charts this morning with her country song High Heeled Shoes. She has knocked Pink from the top.
