1. The Government has announced that work on the Metro North will begin in 2021 with an aim to be finished by 2028. The new route will cost 7.5 billion and will run out to Dublin Airport. 

2. An impeachment referendum has been called against the President of the UCD Student's Union. Katie Ascough came under fire after she removed information about access to abortion services from a magazine. A vote is due to be held at the end of the month.

3. The top Google searches since 2007 have been released. 2016’s most searched was of course, Donald Trump, Adele topped the list in 2015 while Mutant Giant Spider Dog was the most Googled in 2014.

4. Taylor Swift is launching an app. The Swift Life will be a place where fans can better connect with Taylor and avail of exclusive photos, videos and Taymojis. 

5 And finally, Louis Tomlinson dropped a surprise new track last night. Just Like You is his favourite from his new album.
