1. Castlepalooza, Indiependence and Beatyard festivals take place this weekend. Mark Ronson will be heading to Dun Laoghaire for the latter, Le Galaxie will be headlining the Castlepalooza main stage while Manic Street Preachers and The Coronas are taking to the stages of Deer Farm, Mitchelstown.

2. It's a busy bank holiday for sports fans. Dublin are set to take on Monaghan while Jürgen Klopp will be bringing his red men to face Athletic Bilbao in the Aviva.

3. Traffic in the city is set to get worse from today as parts of the quays will be closed off due to Luas works. The South Quays will remain closed until Saturday 12th August. 

4. Dublin Bus has announced that all new buses will have USB ports on them. The vehicles will be arriving some time this year.

5. And finally, rumours are building for a Fresh Prince of Bel Air revival. DJ Jazzy Jeff has told the Sun that 'talks with people about doing something' in relation to a reboot of the series have been taking place.
