2) The Snowman @ Bord Gais, Saturday & Sunday
This phenomenally popular show, The Snowman returns to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. A magical concert designed for all the family, Raymond Briggs’s captivating film has established itself as part of the Christmas festivities for young and old, accompanied by Howard Blake’s score played live by the Irish Philharmonic Orchestra.

3) The Beast @ National Basketball Arena, Thursday 14th December - Sunday 17th December

4) Live Crib @ The Mansion House, until 24th
This magical crib will have live animals such as a donkey, goat and sheep there, all being taken care of and supplied by the Irish Farmers' Association (IFA). Admission is free but donations are welcome to the Mansion House Fuel Fund which is the Lord Mayor’s personal Charity and all monies raised are distributed to those in need in the City through established charities including St. Vincent de Paul and Dublin Simon.
Each day, the animals in the crib are brought home every evening. The team at the Civic Maintenance Section in Dublin City Council’s Housing Department built the Crib which is looking amazing this year!
The crib is open daily until Christmas Eve. The Crib has been a joint venture between Dublin City Council and the Irish Farmers’ Association since 1995.
5) Christmas @ Farmleigh, until 17th
Christmas at Farmleigh is a special time for all the family. Children will be enthralled by Magic Shows and Puppet Shows and will be captivated by Christmas Tales from Storytellers from all over Ireland. Seasonal treats, including Horse and Carriage Rides, a Live Crib and a Children’s Christmas Room will be there for all to enjoy.
Enjoy some seasonal shopping at the Christmas Food Markets, flower arranging and plenty of singing to help you get into the spirit of the festive season. Puppet & Storytelling sessions are on a first come first serve basis. Tickets will be distributed on the day of the event.
