Zayn Malik has said that he and Harry Styles never really saw eye to eye.
Speaking to US Weekly, Zayn has revealed that he hasn't really kept in contact with his former One Direction bandmate. He claims that they were never really close, at all.
'To be honest, I never really spoke to Harry even when I was in the band. So I didn't really expect that much of a relationship with him.'
Speaking about the band back in 2015, Zayn said 'Would you listen to One Direction, sat at a party with your girl? I wouldn't.' To which Harry replied 'I think it's a shame he felt that way.'
Zayn did reveal that he keeps in contact with the rest of the lads, claiming that everything is on a 'civil level'.
'It's not the way it used to be, obviously, because we were spending 24 hours a day in the band and now we're growing as individual men, but we still check in.'
When asked about a One Direction reunion, Zayn said 'I've said it before. Never say never.'
Zayn has an album coming out over the next few months too, which he's currently working on.
He told US Weekly, 'We’ve got some big people working on stuff. There’s soulful R&B tunes, club tunes, some pop songs. It’s a progression. My writing’s grown and I feel like I’ve grown. I just wanted to get all of that in the album and give people some new music.'
