It's taken 12 seasons, but it's been revealed that The Big Bang Theory will end after this season.
There had been plenty of talk about the shows future, with some suggestions that it would be renewed beyond the upcoming 12th season.
However, in a joint statement to Twitter, Warner Bros., CBS and Chuck Lorre Productions said, "We, along with the cast, writers and crew, are extremely appreciative of the show’s success and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale, that will bring #TheBigBangTheory to an epic creative close."

The show is most known for the character Sheldon Cooper, who has become one of the most recognisable in the history of television.
The popularity of Sheldon, played by Jim Parsons, has led to the creation of spin-off show 'Young Sheldon'.
The final season will end in the US in May 2019
