Three shows you need to watch this week:
1) Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy, Monday on ITV at 9pm
We are approaching the 20th anniversary of the death of Princess Diana and this documentary airing on ITV tonight looks like it's going to be the perfect tribute to her- as it features her two sons the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry. They were just 15 and 12 when their mum passed away and in this intimate documentary, they open up about their favorite memories of their mum and their last conversation with her. It also features interviews Elton John, Rihanna and Diana's brother Earl Spencer.
2) Top of The Lake, Thursday, Thursday on BBC2 at 9pm
This is the second series of the show that there has been alot of hype around. It's got an amazing cast- Elizabeth Moss (Mad Men, The Handmaid's Tale), Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones) and Nicole Kidman has been added the the line up for season two. A mystery drama series set in Sydney- in this series 'China Girl' Elizabeth's Moss's character Detective Robin Griffin has to solve the murder of an Asian girl who's body was washed up in a suitcase on Bondi Beach. The series was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival back in May, making it one of the only TV series to premiere at such a prestigious festival.
3) Daughters of Destiny, Netflix from Friday
If you're into your documentaries, you'll love this one. It focuses on a school in Bengal in India which provides free education to under privileged kids. It's called teh Shanti Bhavan Children’s Project- it was established in 1997 by Shanti Bhavan, who has dedicated her life to turned the lives of poor children around and giving them a chance to achieve their goals.
