Three programmes to get stuck into this week!
In one off show comedian Alison Spittle sets off to find out exactly what it means to be a culchie. Alison grew up in Westmeath herself and meets with several other young culchies to figure out what it means to be a culchie in 2018, including the Tully Twins from Gogglebox who are from Cavan. Alison will also learn to drive a tractor, herd cattle and go on a fishing trip with Kevin McGahern.
This looks very interesting. Essentially- imagine if virtual reality games went so far that you could feel real pain and pleasure while in them. This is what main character Leila discovers after becoming addicted to virtual reality game 'Azana' while trying to escape her difficult London life. However, things go downhill hill when Tessa, a character from the game shows up in Leila's real life. Shot half in real life London, half in animation - this looks like a very exciting series. It's produced and written by Bryan Elsley, who co-wrote Skins and stars Tallulah Haddon.
Another week, another Netflix origingal and this time it's a reboot of the 1960's series 'Lost in Space'. Now there was a movie version of this in 1998 starring Gary Oldman and Matt LeBlanc but it did NOT do well. This reboot tells the story of the space family Robinson who set off on their space craft Jupiter 2 to join a new colony, they do not make it though and end of light years from home.
