It's fair to say that pretty much anything can come up as a topic or a question in the Dail.

That was quite evident yesterday afternoon, when the Taoiseach and the Ceann Comhairle had a brief conversation about one of the favourites for the Oscars.

It came after a question from Labour leader Brendan Howlin, who was asking about Government advertising in the cinema when a friend of his was going to watch Martin McDonagh's 'Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri'.

The Taoiseach addressed the question, before a brief critique of the movie:

"I'm not sure what to make of the film, Ceann Comhairle," he said to the chair of the house Sean O Fearghail.

"It was good, but hard to warm to the heroine in it although, you know?"

Ok, so Leo might not like it, but we doubt Martin McDonagh, Frances McDormand and co. are too concerned considering the success of the movie this awards season!
