Steven Spielberg is reportedly looking to cast Liam Payne in his upcoming remake of, 'West Side Story.'

This wouldn't be the first One Direction member to star in a film.

Harry Styles featured in Christopher Nolan's, 'Dunkirk,' just last year.

In fact, all five One Direction boys starred in an episode of Nickelodeon's, 'iCarly,' back in the day.

According to The Daily Mail, the director is set to begin filming next year.

It's apparently taken him 15 years to acquire the rights for the film, that's according to The Daily Mail.

This would be his first time directing a musical film.

The film was first released in December, 1961 and features around two gangs; the Jets and the Sharks.

It's been said that if Liam lands a part in the film, he will more than likely features as one of the Jets.

A source told The Sun, ''Liam was approached and was naturally flattered to be considered.''

''Liam sees the opportunity to work with Spielberg as an exciting prospect and one too good to turn down.''
