Those who love a bit of nostalgia will be pleased to know that a positive update has been provided for Space Jam 2.

The director given the responsibility of making the sequel to one of our favourite childhood films, Justin Lin, has been talking about the progress of the movie to IGN.

He says: "We have actors who are also professional athletes, so schedule is something that's tough."

Judging by that, he's not exactly confirming the potential appearance of superstar basketball player LeBron James.

"I feel like I've gone done nine different iterations already and we're going to keep going, but we're getting closer every day," he added.

The original, released in 1996, starred Michael Jordan and saw him taken to the world of Bugs Bunny and the rest of the Looney Toons, as they aimed to stop being taken over by aliens.
