Most people would give anything to attend the Golden Globes, but not Saoirse Ronan's mammy. She stayed at home to be with her puppy.
Saoirse picked up the Best Actress award for her role in Lady Bird at the ceremony in Beverly Hills on Sunday night.
Her mother watched her acceptance speech via FaceTime. Saoirse gave her a wave during it, and revealed that her best pal Eileen was her date for the evening.
Saoirse popped in to see Jimmy Fallon, and said that her mother didn't come with her, as she was on babysitting duties for their new pet, Fran.
Saoirse joked about how she was 'knocking back the tea' until 3am to stay awake for Saoirse's category.
