Donna (Brittany Snow)  witnessed her family been murdered three years ago by her teacher, Fenton (Schaech) after he had become obsessed with her. She has reoccurring nightmares of the attack.

 As she is preparing for prom, her psycho teacher escapes from his psychiatric hospital.

Detectives follow her to prom as she is his most likely target. Fenton believes Donna belongs to him and so begins a killing spree to get what he wants. He breaks into their room and waits. Eventually Donna goes up to the room alone to get her mothers shawl. Here Fenton pops out and the pursuit begins…..
